In-Pool Amenities: Dipping Into Something Special
A family-owned and operated business for over 48 years, Haven Pools has through the years established a name for cutting-edge and elegant pool design. However, our clients also appreciate that we know there’s more to having a pool than great looks. A swimming pool is also for having fun and sharing intimate times with friends and family.
To enhance such moments, our clients rely on us for special in-pool amenities such as seating, beach entries, and dreamy pool lighting. Helping each family decide on ideal amenities and translating them into the perfect finished pool is part of Haven’s DNA.
Here’s a few examples of our doing just that:
In-Pool Table and Bar Stools:
How’s this for party central — inside the pool! These clients wanted to keep their extremities in the water while enjoying a drink and conversation. We added this in-pool table with bar stools near the pool’s edge, making it easy to receive drinks. The attractive bar top is a concrete disk that we topped with the same tiles that edge the pool.
In-Pool Gazebo:
Now for a romantic in-pool setting. This gazebo was found on the property of our client’s old estate and they wanted to set it within the pool. After renovating it which included sandblasting and painting the top, we added a pedestal to sit on. Then we positioned the restored gazebo in the pool completely surrounded by water. As we were finishing, our clients realized they would want to enjoy the gazebo even when they didn’t plan to swim or get wet, so we built a stone bridge to it from the edge of pool.
Swimming Pool Cuddle Coves:
Whether you use these benches as romantic cuddle coves, or just as a glorious resting spot, an in-pool underwater bench is truly dipping into something special. For this pool, we not only added the underwater bench, but two stream-fed waterfalls. The streams flow over two large flat natural stones that do double duty as additional above-pool benches.
Thrilling Laminar Jets:
If installed correctly, laminar jets will not make noise and the streams into the pool will be smooth and quiet and they stimulate the water. They also offer stunning visual color effects at night, which are best viewed in-pool.
In-Pool Sun Shelf:
At one time, these in-pool amenities were only seen at very high-end hotels and retreats, but they have become very popular for residential swimming pools. Also called a tanning or baja shelf, it provides an easy step-down into the pool where you can stretch out in inches of cool water to sun bathe. You can also set beach lounge-chairs on these shelves for ultimate comfort and even an outdoor umbrella if the sun’s too hot.
In-Pool Sun Shelf (Night Views):
This is a night shot of the same pool immediately above. The clients added gorgeous LED lighting to their pool which turns the sun shelf into a moon shelf — or a cool place to relax and enjoy a truly romantic evening.
